I took up running in April 2014, after deciding that life was getting a bit boring and I needed a new challenge. After doing some browsing on the internet, I discovered the world of ultra trail running, and it looked amazing. In order to motivate myself to train, I entered the 50km Lesotho Ultra Trail at the end of November 2014, and so my journey in the world of trail and ultra running began.
So far I have completed 2 road marathons, 2 ultra trail races and 1 ultra road race (Comrades 2015), and numerous shorter trail races with hopefully many more to follow.
These are my own thoughts on various topics including races I have done (or want to do), gear and shoes, or just stuff in general. I’m an electronic engineer by profession, and I love gadgets and technology so I’m pretty obsessive about recording my activities, you can find me on Strava here.
